Dear Members,
Over the last week the board and the trainers discussed whether there would be a point during the corona pandemic where the trainings should be discontinued for this month. However, Nabil just recieved confirmation from the ACLO that the entire sports centre will be shut down from tomorrow onwards, at least until March 31st. As far as we know, this also includes the gym. This means that there will be no training at the dojo from March 13th until March 31st, and more likely even until April 10th.
We will keep you guys updated on any new developments regarding the trainings.
Until then, keep it dynamic.

Dear Members,
On the 7th of March, Sjouke, Vlad and Nynke will be fighting at the very first Dutch Combat Events in Sporthal Strijthagen (Hofstraat 1, Landgraaf).
All the fights will take place in an octagon! This is a very rare occasion, as not many gyms have octagons in the Netherlands.

If you would like to travel in a group together, message Secretary Sameer stating whether you need transport, or have a car to offer. Finally, as the event is quite far away, it may be possible to stay over-night and travel together the following morning. If you would like to do this, please state it in your message to Sameer.

A heavyweight fight, Rico v. Badr.
It will be streamed live at Pacific, (Oosterstraat 65, 9711NS Groningen), starting at 20:00. Deltaserat will be gathering at Pacific around 19:30 to get the best seats. All members are welcome!

Dear Members,
on the Saturday 7th of December we are organizing an internal grappling tournament!
We encourage members from all skill levels to attend (we will try to match you up with people with a similar skill level) as this is a great opportunity for everyone, especially beginners to test some of the techniques you have learnt, in a safe environment. But we also advise the grappling fight-team members to join to crank up their match experience!
We will have weigh-ins at 13:00 and start at 14:00. If you would like to join, please let Sameer know, as we can then estimate the number of brackets needed.

Our one and only Sander will be fighting at one of the biggest kickboxing events of the Netherlands and you can join us!

Oh hey; look at that! The sun is out! That must mean it’s April.
It’s time for the mixed social of April!
Thursday the 11th of April we will be going for drinks again with our favourite friends from Northside, Noordpole, Pugilicé and Fairplay.
As usual we will be chilling at Allround where you can have some beers; play some pool; throw some darts and much more! We’ll be there at 2130 if you can’t find us downstairs try to find us upstairs in the pool area!
Can you hear the sound of music? Can you hear the dancing in the dark?
That’s because the ACLO Gala is coming up!
Just like every year we are planning to go with a big group to the ACLO Gala and have a big party. Will you be part of the group that creates history this year?
The theme is Burlesque; so get fancy and suit/dress up!
Tickets can be bought online here and cost €26,21; in return there’s an open bar, you can get some cool pictures taken and there will be various awesome and astonishing acts.
The doors of Huize Maas open at 22:30.
But before these doors open; we will go to Papa Joe’s! Get some foundation for the drinks to drop on. As is tradition we will get some damn good burgers before going to the gala together. We’ve been informed that we can’t pay separately, so please bring some cash! Holy shitballs it’s getting cold. As the windows are starting to fog up during training and the sun goes down earlier and earlier we turn towards the warming hearts of our fellow associations.
Coming Thursday, the 8th of November we’ve got a new mixed social scheduled! Even though we had a blast at Kult, we will go back to Buckshot (Gedempte Zuiderdiep 58) for an evening.Feel free to bring board/drinking games to maximize the fun!
We’ll start the fun at 21:30, toasting to the nearing end of the exam week.
